Preparation of detailed Bills of Costs – party and party, and solicitor/client

Preparation of summary Bills of Costs/schedules of costs, for without prejudice negotiations and/or security for costs applications

Opposing claims for costs, including analysis and initial advice, negotiations and participating in mediation/arbitration as appropriate

Advising on the terms of costs orders to be sought at the conclusion of proceedings, and in respect of solicitor/client disputes

Conducting on site file inspections

Attendance at adjudication hearings, both in respect of High Court/Supreme Court and Circuit Court matters

Dealing with adjudication review applications (Sections 160 & 161)

Attendance at costs mediation, arbitration and/or other forms of ADR

Preparation of legal costs budgets and tenders

Auditing of solicitors’ charges

Provision of in house costs seminars

Preparation of costs estimates/budgets, including advice on Section 150 (formerly Section 68) estimates of costs

Applications for a payment on account of costs, pursuant to Practice Direction HC71

General advice on all aspects of legal costs
